One of the great pleasures of a diverse state like California is the diversity of its weather! Ski resorts in the Sierra Nevada report some of the greatest snowfall totals in years! One of the resorts near Lake Tahoe received almost 9 feet of snow in five days!
There were 105 inches (do the math! 
) of snow that fell at mid-mountain at Alpine Meadows, just west of Tahoe and 13 miles south of Truckee from last Friday through Tuesday. This was the largest storm ever recorded in the history of the resort for November!
There was 6 feet of snow at Kirkwood Mountain Resort, over 5 feet at Squaw Valley USA, and over 4 feet at Heavenly, Northstar-at-Tahoe, and Mount Rose!
