Joan Baez hurt in fall

Folk singer and activist, Joan Baez, aged 69, recently fell 20 feet while climbing down from a tree house at her home in Woodside, California and sustained minor injuries. Baez was treated and released from Stanford Hospital.

Baez had the tree house constructed without walls deliberately, because she wanted to sleep among real birds at her home.

Baez is resting at a secure location.

Joan Baez is known for such songs as “Blowin’ in the Wind,” “Diamonds & Rust” “Forever Young,” and “Sweet Sir Galahad,” and once had a relationship with Bob Dylan.

We wish Joan Baez a speedy recovery from any injuries sustained, and thank her for the joy and awareness that her performances have brought to so many.
