3-year-old girl saves dad’s life in Manteca

After Frank Tafoya accidentally took a mixture of medicines that he should not have, a mixture that made him collapse and would have killed him without prompt medical attention, his 3-year-old daughter, Alesaundra walked two blocks to a “safe haven” that her parents had described to her, the neighborhood Fire Station 243.

According to station KOVR in Manteca, CA, Alesaundra told fire fighters that her dad was “frozen” and wouldn’t wake up. She then took rescuers back to her house where her dad was sitting in the living room, needing medical attention.

Fire Captain Robert Villalovoz said that it was the first time in over 20 years that he has had a 3-year-old walk up to the station.

Alesaundra’s mother was proud and relieved that their daughter had listened to the lessons they have been teaching her.
