New Denial of Service attack uses Web servers
Researchers have discovered a botnet that uses compromised Web servers, rather than personal computers. The Web servers were compromised with code that exploits a vulnerability in PHP and can affect servers running Apache, Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), or other server software, according to Amachai Shulman, chief technology officer at Imperva.
