These might just be “the droids you’re looking for!”

BarBot 2010 featured “a dozen drink-making droids” pouring cocktails for hackers at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco. CNET has the video.

BarBot 2010 was the third event of its kind to celebrate robots and cocktail culture. The event was made possible by the folks behind RoboGames, which will take place later this spring.

The DNA Lounge itself, an all-ages nightclub in the SoMa district of San Francisco, is owned by the former Netscape programmer and open-source software hacker, Jamie Zawinski, who battled San Francisco’s bureaucracy in renovating the club and the Calfiornia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ever since? :-) ). You can read about the history of the club in the Wikipedia entry.
