A Different View
Tonight, I had the extreme pleasure of attending the reception and awards ceremony for “A Different View: Taking a New Look at Our East Bay Regional Parks,” an exhibit at The Bankhead Theater in Livermore. Nontraditional landscapes of East Bay Regional Parks (as well as more traditional and nonlandscape photos) are on display there through the end of October. The lobby will also be open to the public during the Livermore Art Walk on October 11.
There was wine from several Livermore wineries, and music by John Seppala, with bassist.
The Bankhead Theater, itself, is a wonderful place, and I was delighted to see some areas of the theater, including the terrace, that I had not seen before.
In addition to the pleasure of viewing the paintings, 3-dimensional art, and photography of the exhibit, I was surprised to meet some old friends, and through them, one of the photographers whose work I admire, Marc Crumpler.
