Getty’s Flickr Collection

According to Stephen Shankland’s CNET blog today, Yahoo’s Flickr site has deepened its relationship with the stock photo giant, Getty Images, so that photographers can submit photos directly to evaluated by the Getty Images creative team. If some or all of the photos, or other photos from the photostream are selected for the Flickr Collection on Getty Images, photographers will receive an invitation by FlickMail.

CNET quotes Flickr with regard to specifics concerning distribution, licensing, contracts, and rates.

Shankland also references an apology from Toyota USA on Tuesday for using Flickr photos without permission.
