Highway Robbery!

A man in Merced County was filling his tank with gasoline when he was approached by three women in their 50s, who asked him for a ride.

He drove them out to Sandy Mush Road. When the women got out, the man noticed a white truck with two Hispanic males inside. One of them got out and threatened the man with “an AK-47type” rifle. (“Kalashnikov, there is no substitute….”) So did the rifle just “look” a little like an AK-47 (generally sufficient to ban ownership in California :-) ), which is a true selective-fire weapon?

Besides, isn’t the never-ending procession of stupid anti-gun laws in California supposed to make people “safer” :-) from such things? (Nudge, nudge, wink, wink…. 😉 ) Or is that just the rationalization…?

The women took his cash and credit cards at gunpoint. All three women and the two men fled in the white truck, which was described as a white, 4-door pickup, possibly a Ford. All three women had tattoos on their upper arms.

Anyone with information about this case can call the sheriff’s office at (209) 385-7472.
