California Missions: index of photoblog entries
The Spanish Missions in California are studied as part of California history by fourth graders in California’s public schools. I have made Mission photos available to schoolkids for their nonprofit use in education. Currently, I have photoblog entries for all of the missions from Mission La Purisima Concepción north, with the exception of Mission Santa Clara de Asis (which is on my list for summer, when there are fewer college kids on the Santa Clara University campus).
The Wikipedia entry linked above lists ALL of the California Missions from north to south, as well as a separate list in chronological order. I will list my photoblog entries from “north to south.” We visited Mission Santa Barbara before I had my current camera, when our daughter attended UCSB. I plan to re-shoot that beautiful “Queen of the Missions.” (Note added August 29, 2009: Done.)
