The Cat comes back….

Cuda Ridge Winery, Livermore, California

Once upon a time… I blogged EVERY day. :-)

Then, a wonderful assignment from Visit Tri-Valley, California (the Convention and Visitors Bureau) came my way, in August of 2013.

I photographed 9 Livemore, CA wineries for Visit Tri-Valley, California (it would have been 11, except that two wineries did not sign my property release) in an assignment that I truly enjoyed, because I got to meet a lot of the business people and winery owners in the Livermore Valley. One of my black-and-white images, of winemaker Brent Amos at Las Positas Vineyards on Wetmore Road in Livermore, was chosen as the cover of the 2014 Visitors Guide to the Tri-Valley!

However, the “downside” was that I got out of the habit of blogging every day (I started blogging in the fall of 2007 and it became daily in almost no time at all).

No, nothing traumatic happened in my life at that time. One of the traumatic incidents happened earlier, in the fall of 2012. It did not affect my blogging. :-)

I firmly believe that “the road to hell is paved with good intentions.” My intentions are honorable, to blog every day about this wonderful state of California and my pseudorandom ruminations about my life here. If I slip, please forgive me.

Sooooo….

What’s going on now?

Yesterday, I hung 18 24″ by 36″ (or 36″ by 24″) canvas prints of my images at Cuda Ridge Winery on Arroyo Road in Livermore, in a “solo show.” The images will hang there during May, June, and July. They are limited edition prints of natural California and were last exhibited as a large group during a show (“California: Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Life”) with painter Engela Wilson and sculptor.3D artist Matt Nylander at the Harrington Gallery, Firehouse Arts Center, in Pleasanton, CA during March and April of 2013.

There will be a reception at Cuda Ridge on June 15, but don’t wait until then – the photos are there NOW and the wine is spectacular! I thank proprietor/winemaker, Larry, for the opportunity to exhibit, and the friendly folks at Cuda Ridge for their hospitality. I told Larry that I would try to attend several events that are scheduled at the winery, in case anyone would like to talk to the photographer of the images on the walls.

Please go to Cuda Ridge to enjoy my photography (and THEIR wine :-) ) in May, June, and July. There will be a number of occasions on which you can enjoy the music of local musicians as well!

I hope to see you there!
