And FREE concerts, at that…!
Metal rockers Warrant performed at the Boardwalk on Friday night, kicking off the annual summer concert series! The band is enjoying a resurgence of late, releasing a new album, “Rockaholic,” last year! The summer series of FREE concerts happens at 6:30 and 8:30 PM at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, 400 Beach St., Santa Cruz (Google Map) Free. Details are at beachboardwalk.com

Time to drag out the portable beach chairs and make plans for the annual Bands on the Beach series at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. The free Friday concerts run throughout the summer at the bandstand on Main Beach in the shadow of the Boardwalk. There are two shows — 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. — every Friday. They’re all free….
