Steve Jobs to take medical leave

Today, Apple Inc.‘s CEO, Steve Jobs, announced that he will take a leave of absence from Apple for health reasons. Jobs said that he will be away from the job until the end of June.

Last week, Jobs explained his weight loss as the result of a hormone imbalance, in a statement to the Apple Community.

Tim Cook, Apple’s chief operating officer, will be responsible for Apple’s daily operations.

While some folks callously place side bets in the market, I join with others in wishing Mr. Jobs the best possible medical outcome during his leave.
