1968 Playmate of the Year charged with attempted murder

Victoria Rathgeb, 66 was arrested after police responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment in the 7000 block of Hawthorn Avenue in Hollywood, CA. She has been charged with attempted murder, after allegedly shooting her husband of 20 years, Bruce Rathgeb, with a semiautomatic handgun. Victoria Rathgeb is being held in lieu of $1.5 million bail and is due in court on November 1. Her husband is in grave condition in a local hospital.

Victoria Rathgeb (née Victoria Vetri, born in San Francisco to Italian immigrants) was the 1968 Playmate of the Year under the name of Angela Dorian. She had TV and movie roles in the 1960s and 1970s, including that of a recovering heroin addict in “Rosemary’s Baby” in 1968.
