29th Annual Harvest Wine Celebration!

Well, it’s Labor Day Weekend, and you know what that means! (Well, maybe a lot of you folks in other countries do not, but I will explain below! :-) )

It’s time for the Annual Harvest Wine Celebration! 2010 marks the 29th year of the event!

The Harvest Wine Celebration showcases the historic Livermore Valley Wine Country during the peak of Harvest Season. This year, the harvest is delayed about two weeks, as the result of a very cool summer. In celebration of the harvest, over 40 wineries that are participating will be open only to ticket holders on this Sunday and Monday, September 5 and 6.

From the official Web site:

Below is all the information you will need to plan your weekend:

SUNDAY:  September 5, 2010 (12-5 pm)

Hop aboard one of the complimentary shuttle buses, visit numerous wineries, enjoy musical entertainment and celebrate the Harvest!  Guests may also choose to drive themselves, bike, or book their own transportation.  During this fun-filled day at the wineries, guests will enjoy complimentary wines (at least 2 varietals), music, arts & craft vendors, food vendors, special wine discounts and more.

MONDAY:  September 6, 2010 (12-5 pm)

Monday features a more intimate affair at the wineries, as each winery will offer a unique experience and activity.  In addition to complimentary wine tasting and vendors, each winery will offer a special activity allowing guests to tailor their experiences towards their interests!  Activities may include:  wine & food pairings, meet the winemaker discussions, bottle your own wines, vineyard tours, barrel sampling, cooking demonstrations, bottle signing, winemaking seminars, and more.
