It’s FIRE time again! Camarillo Heights

A 50-acre brush fire is burning in Camarillo Heights near Ocean View Drive in Ventura County (about 50 miles northwest of Los Angeles). The fire is currently at about 50 acres and 50 structures are threatened. The fire was reported at 3:03 PM today.

Voluntary evacuations are suggested in the Highlands area. Owners of large animals in the Groves Place area of Somis should begin preparations in case evacuations are ordered.

Structure protection engines are in place, and more than 250 firefighters are now on the scene, as are four helicopters. The fire is 10% contained with full containment expected by noon tomorrow.
