Too much California news!

Amid the good news of the second day of a stock rally and decreased gasoline prices, there was the tragic news of an F-18 jet killing three people as it crashed into a home in San Diego, and the news about the parent company (The Tribune Company) of the LA Times (not to mention the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Cubs) declaring bankruptcy! As the nature of journalism changes, the Pulitzer Prize Board has come to recognize the Web!

California government in Sacramento is settling into another round of budget deadlocks, or, as one head Democrat said tonight – her friends on both sides of the aisle are “in denial.”

The accelerating pace of change causes some to “throw up their hands” in helplessness, and others, to “dig in” to understand. Tonight, I am now finished with a TV show on global warming, and thinking about settling in to watch the groundbreaking creation (“A Charlie Brown Christmas“) of a man who moved from the Upper Mid-West (Minnesota) to settle in California – Charles M. Schultz.

It is hard to believe that the program first aired in 1965.
