Spring finally arrives in the Bay Area

Hopefully…. :-)

My aching body reminds me that yesterday was the Art in the Vineyard show at Wente’s beautiful winery on Tesla Road. One of the notable features of the show, beside the great turnout of generally happy, celebratory people, was the FANTASTIC weather, with a high temperature of 84 degrees F (about 29 degrees C)!

Fantastic weather is normally a characteristic of the San Francisco Bay Area. This year, spring has been delayed so much that one person told me that she had left weather in Chicago in the 80s to come to weather in the Bay Area in the 50s and 60s! :-(

The weather has been “blue sky and beautiful” since Friday. I told middle-school kids on Friday to take a look at the sky – deep blue scattered with cumulus clouds. I told them that is what skies look like all summer long in the afternoon in the Midwest. In contrast, where I live, the skies are usually blue and cloudless at that time of year (it takes MOISTURE to make cumulus clouds! :-) ). Today, the skies are clouding a bit, and the forecast high is 78 degrees F.

Thanks go out again to Wente for having the LAA show at their Tesla road winery and to all of those who visited the art show, and especially those who stopped at the Cheshire Cat Photo booth.

I met a large group of wonderful folks and had both sales and a lot of engaging conversations.
