Is this your fault?
The California Geological Survey has released NEW maps of ALL of the earthquake zones in California. A lot of NEW faults were added to the earlier map (constructed in 1964), and some of the faults that were shown on the earlier map were MOVED.
A little bit of GOOD news: a few faults that were shown on the earlier map for the Bay Area were REMOVED, since they really don’t exist 
(and were mapped by mistake) or because they are inactive.
Utilities can use the maps to determine, for example, where NOT to build dams. Ordinary people might want to use the maps to determine where they would like to live.
