Know, then go…

Tonight, I thought that I would pass along a few links to help folks plan their trips to the California coast (particularly the coast near the San Francisco Bay Area):

1) the City of Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf site, with surf reports, tide table for Monterey Bay, NOAA satellite wind map and Buoy Summary, and surf cam

2) the GOES Western US Sector satellite image map (visible light) (pretty dark right now :-)  )

3) the GOES Western US Sector IR (infrared) satellite image map

4) ZOOM visible satellite centered near Monterey, but you can drive (have fun)

5) ZOOM IR satellite centered near Monterey (again, adjustable)

6) hourly weather for Santa Cruz (insert your place of choice)

7) Santa Cruz tides from Scripps

8) San Gregorio cam and weather conditions

9) Long Marine Laboratory Meteorological Station (Santa Cruz)

Add the webcams of your choice, for an even more complete view.
