Blog Updates
Today, I continued the updating of blog entries through the end of 2007. For blog entries that link to photos, the link is now no longer to the Portfolio, but to another respository of low-resolution images, the one used by the Stock Photo Table. This change will allow greater flexibility in showcasing new photographs in the Portfolio, without breaking existing links from the blog.
Any blog entries that required link changes also received updated Tags, and, where appropriate, a photo displayed in the header of the blog. The displayed photo seems natural in a photoblog, and the accompanying text hopefully helps both Californians and non-Californians alike find useful information about California. The updated Tags should make relevant blog entries even easier to find.
I will continue to update the blog entries for 2008, until we are “caught up to the present.”
Database maintenance is not a “sexy” job, but it is an *essential* job.
