Stressing the banks

CNN announced today that the results of the bank stress tests are in, and 10 of the 19 banks tested need to raise new capital, $75 billion in all! :-)

Having had several of the banks (in both categories) as customers myself in at least a couple of jobs, and having listened to colleagues who had other banks as customers, it comes as no surprise to me that a few banks that, as the result of good fiscal management, need ZERO additional capital were some of the most fair, agreeable, and visionary (if occasionally demanding) customers. (You know who you are, and I miss you! :-) )

The list of banks, their stock tickers, their total assets, market value, worst-case loss estimate, and capital needed are here.
