Reservations are open seven months in advance. In the first hour, on February 1 (taking reservations for August), 15,000 reservations were made!
Julia Pfeiffer Campground at Big Sur is not taking reservations because the bridge to the campground was removed to allow debris flow after last year’s fires. A bid for putting the bridge back in place has been awarded the contract, and the campground may open by Memorial Day.
