Drive-by shooting in Livermore shopping center kills one, wounds one.
Last night, we had a “first-ever” fatal drive-by shooting in Livermore, California, in a busy shopping center parking lot, in an area of the lot where I often park. A police officer was quoted by media as saying that this sort of thing does not happen in Livermore. In our history here, it never has. It has now.
LIVERMORE (KRON) — On Saturday October 24, 2015 Livermore police dispatch received multiple 911 calls of a shooting in the parking lot of CVS Pharmacy on 1500 First Street at 6:05 p.m..
Responding officers arrived within minutes and located two subjects that had been shot inside of a car in the parking lot.
The driver, who has not been identified, was deceased at the scene. The front passenger suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to an area hospital.
The passenger in the front seat who was shot has not been identified at the time the story was written. The article does not identify the man who was killed. The vehicle (more information below) escaped from the parking lot onto Railroad Avenue and out to I-580 where it was identified by California Highway Patrol (CHP). the assailants led CHP on a high-speed pursuit at speeds up to 100 mph, according to other TV reports. CHP stopped the pursuit in Oakland, because the speeds had become too dangerous, according to a KTVU news report. The suspects are still at large.

Possible Suspects:
Suspect one, the driver is an African American man, tall, thin build, and wearing a gray beanie cap. This suspect was armed with a black long gun.
Suspect two, the front passenger is an unknown descript male.
Suspect Vehicle:
The suspects were last seen driving in a 2006 BMW 325i with a license plate number 5PLR682. The vehicle is black in color with two red racing stripes on the hood.
The Livermore Police Department needs the community’s assistance in locating the vehicle. If anyone sees the vehicle, please call 9-1-1and consider the occupants armed and dangerous.
Livermore police are searching a home in Oakland for evidence related to the shooting.
