LAA “Art Under the Oaks” on Saturday and Sunday, July 20 and 21!
The Livermore Art Association (LAA) is celebrating its 27th year of “Art Under the Oaks” at Alden Lane Nursery this weekend, July 20 and 21! Of course, Cheshire Cat Photo, featuring the photography of William F. Hackett, will be there!
Since “Good artists copy; great artists steal!” (Pablo Picasso), I have stolen the fine article posted by the LAA Webmaster, Jennie McGregor, about the event:
- What: Art Under the Oaks is celebrating its 27th year at Alden Lane Nursery, the weekend of July 20 and 21 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 pm each day. This event combines art, food and live music under the nursery’s beautiful oak canopy. Over 40 local artists will display art for sale, offering an array of paintings, prints, pottery, jewelry, baskets, fiber arts and photography. Other activities include Alden Lane’s annual summer fruit tasting, live music, and wine tasting offered by many local wineries. There will be artist’s demonstrations in Ruthie’s room.
Admission and parking are free. Overflow parking will be available at Sunset Plaza, at the corner of Concannon and Holmes. There is a free shuttle to the nursery. For more information call the LAA Gallery at 925-449-9927.- When: July 20 and 21 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 pm each day
