Does evolution occur in Texas? :-)

The Texas Board of Education will vote this week on “science” standards that some critics say seek to cast doubt on the theory of evolution.

Other than point you to the article so that you can read it yourself, I only want to repeat my earlier statement that science does not care what you believe.

The National Academy of Sciences has taken a more active role in educating the public about scientific findings related to evolution. It looks like they may have to take an even MORE active role. :-)

(I actually would like to thank the state of Texas for taking the national spotlight off the lunacy in California for a day or two….)
