New Mac Pro, iMac, and Mac mini models
Wooo Hooooo! Quad-core (starting at $2499) and 8-core (starting at $3299) Mac Pros with Intel Nehalem processor(s), an iMac 24″ machine with 4 GB of RAM standard (“because you NEVER have enough RAM”), and a lean, green, “mini” machine (starting at $599 with 1 GB RAM – the $799 version has 2 GB RAM) have been announced by Apple!
The new iMac 24″ machine also comes with twice (640 GB) the previous storage and the standard 4 GB RAM is expandable to 8 GB (Did I mention, “you never have enough RAM?”) 
You may have about enough RAM… for NOW, some of you….
The new Mac mini is being touted as “the world’s most energy-efficient desktop computer” pulling only 13 watts when idle. The new mini also sports faster NVIDIA graphics.
(Note added March 9, 2009: And Firewire 800…!)
All of the machines above meet Energy Star 5.0 requirements that will go into effect later this year.
