26th Annual “Art Under the Oaks” at Alden Lane Nursery, Livermore, CA!
This weekend, on both Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM until 4 PM (NOT 5 PM), Alden Lane Nursery (Google Maps) and the Livermore Art Association invite you to the 26th Annual celebration of Art Under the Oaks! More than 50 local artists (including myself) will be exhibiting, 10 local wineries will be pouring samples, and Dave Wilson Nursery will be there with over 20 varieties of summer-ripening fruit for tasting! The Valley Woodcarvers will be there, too!
Food will be available for purchase from Sweet and Savory Bakery!
A plant and art exhibit entitled “Road to Rio” features a garden with bright-colored art and tropical plants in “Ruthie’s Room.”
This year there will be a tribute to Livermore artist and historian, Tillie Calhoun, who passed away this year. The tribute, which is housed in the greenhouse, will include examples of her art. Those of us who knew Tillie will never forget her.
There will be a raffle of the Bonsai demonstration sample each day at 3 PM. There are raffle prizes every hour of the show. The raffle winner at the 4 PM closing on Sunday will win original art valued at over $200.
