It’s Kermit the Frog…Yeaaaaaaaaa!
Kermit the Frog is back…….. IN STYLE! 
In the upcoming new movie, “The Muppets,” Kermit will sport several outfits from Brooks Brothers! One is “…a custom-made notch lapel “Fitzgerald”-style tuxedo, pleated tuxedo shirt and butterfly bow tie.” Another is “…a Brooks Brothers flannel coat and trousers with navy pin-striped cashmere scarf, according to the clothier.” The movie is due in theaters on Thanksgiving weekend!
Just more evidence that Kermit is no “fashion slouch” … (“It’s not easy, being green.” [YouTube video])!
The November 9 announcement kicked off a marketing tie-in with Disney that includes a Q&A with Kermit at the Brooks Brothers Web site.
In addition, Kermit has inspired a shade of OPI nail polish called “Fresh Frog of Bel Air” and “mean, green” Adidas Originals announced on November 1. The footwear is called the Superstar 2.0 Kermit! The shoe color is …”fairway-green suede with running-white accents” and has a version of Kermit’s signature felt collar over the tongue. On the side, the phrase “The Original HipHop” is emblazoned in gold letters! At Adidas’ e-commerce site, the shoes go for $80 for adults and $50 for children.
(If the Kermit shoes are “too genteel” for you, you might consider a pair with “a chain-link motif” and orange plush interior, not to mention the embossed drumsticks – honoring Animal!)
