Livermore Valley 30th Annual Harvest Wine Celebration Sunday and Monday!

This Sunday, September 4 and Monday, September 5 mark the 30th Annual Harvest Wine Celebration in Livermore Valley Wine Country! Over 40 wineries will be participating, and the wineries WILL BE OPEN ONLY TO TICKET HOLDERS on those two days. I will be in the Cheshire Cat Photo booth at Retzlaff Winery (Google Map here; go down that tree-lined unpaved lane from South Livermore Avenue; phone 925-447-8941) on both Sunday and Monday during the hours of the Celebration, noon until 5 PM!

From the official site:

“On Sunday, complimentary shuttle buses take guests to over 40 wineries, where guests will enjoy: wine tasting, music, food and art vendors, wine discounts, and more.  Guests can also choose to drive themselves.

On Monday, guests can enjoy a more intimate day at the wineries as each winery will offer wine tasting and unique activities like winemaker discussions, bottle your own wines, barrel tastings, and more.  There are no complimentary shuttles on Monday.”

I mentioned tickets. A 2-day ticket is $55 in advance/$65 day of the event. A Sunday-only ticket is $45 in advance/$50 day of the event, and a Monday-only ticket is $40 in advance/$45 on the day of the event. A ticket for a designated driver is $10.

From the official site:

“Ticket includes:  Entrance into the wineries, complimentary wine tasting at over 40 wineries, shuttle bus service (Sunday), special activities (Monday), wine discounts, commemorative wine glass, program, and parking.

This is a ticketed event and everyone needs a ticket to enter the wineries on Sunday and Monday of Labor Day Weekend.  Ticket sale proceeds benefit the Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association, a non-profit organizations which supports the wineries and growers in the Livermore Valley American Viticultural Area.  We appreciate your support.”

The Bus Route information for the complementary shuttle buses that RUN ON SUNDAY ONLY is here (PDF). Retzlaff is #2 in Blue on the map, and very near the HUB.
