Rapper M-Bone shot dead in drive-by shooting
Rapper M-Bone (real name Montae Talbert, aged 22) of the group Cali Swag District was killed last night in a drive-by shooting in his hometown of Inglewood, California. While Talbert was sitting in a car in the 400 block of North LaBrea Avenue, a car pulled beside his, and someone fired two rounds that struck the rapper in the head. Talbert later died a a hospital, according to Inglewood Police Lieutenant Steve Overly today.
The biggest hip-hop hit of Cali Swag District was in 2010: “Teach Me How to Dougie.”
The rap group’s representative, Greg Miller, described Talbert as “… a hardworking, passionate artist and dancer who will be sorely missed.” Miller said that Talbert was “… the victim of a random act of violence.”
