Only in California….
I just looked, and it won’t be a FULL MOON until May 17! 
About 12:45 PM today, a woman allegedly stole a flat-bed tow truck in South Los Angeles and led police officers on a high-speed chase. The truck was spotted on eastbound 105. (This is how you can tell that I’m not from CA. People out here would say “the eastbound 105!” ) The truck rolled southbound on Interstate 5, sideswiping several vehicles. The collisions may have caused the truck’s hood (“bonnet” to those of you in the UK ) to pop open, which may have obscured the woman’s view and caused her to swerve.
Police said that she ALSO tossed objects from the truck as she drove.
The woman eventually pulled over to the shoulder and jumped out the driver’s side window while the truck was still rolling forward. She was wearing only black spandex undergarments and was barefoot! She sprinted about 100 yards on the shoulder before LAPD officers caught up with her, shoved her against a guardrail, and handcuffed her.
Just another day in the life of an LAPD officer.
I am not going to include her as another subspecies of the California maroon. I think that she may be another species altogether!
