We’re going to Disneyland!
Nope. Guess again. 
Sunny weather, holiday deals, and pent-up demand after lots of rainy days meant that BOTH of the Disneyland Resort’s Anaheim theme parks (Disneyland and California Adventure) closed temporarily yesterday due to overcrowding! Disneyland filled to capacity two hours after opening, and visitors were diverted to California Adventure. By 1 PM, BOTH parks were closed to new visitors! California Adventure reopened later in the afternoon.
It was THE SECOND DAY IN A ROW that the parks were temporarily closed! Experts estimated that, together, attendance at the two parks was close to 100,000 each day.
The real numbers are, of course, classified. 
Spokeswoman Betty Sanchez said that she could not discuss the capacities of the parks or attendance figures.
A family who attended California Adventure yesterday said that lines were at least 2 hours long and that people were very frustrated. A 19-year-old student who had visited the park “many, many times” described the Disneyland area as “…the most crowded I’ve ever seen it!”
That doesn’t sound like “The Happiest Place on Earth” to me.
The holiday season has reportedly surpassed the summer months as the busiest time at Disneyland Resort.
