Brian Wilson tour and new album
Awhile ago, I wrote about the way editing photos of vistas from the top of Mount Diablo, made me feel like I was “sitting on top of the world.” The experience reminded me of Brian Wilson‘s lyrics.
Yesterday, my wife told me that Brian Wilson is touring! On his Web site, I learned that Brian and his band have added new tour dates, and that they will be performing the entire “That Lucky Old Sun” album at some of them. This studio album (Capitol Records, his original label, “46 years ago”) will be in stores on September 2, 2008.
According to the video on Brian’s site, the album is about capturing the mood of Southern California, and particularly LA, in the 1950s and 1960s.
I look forward to hearing more from this musical genius, after hearing the samples from the video.
