One more time…

CNET reports that some AMD-based computers that have received Windows XP Service Pack 3 now go into an endless reboot cycle.

Microsoft has ascribed the problem to OEMs improperly placing a Windows XP image created for Intel-based computers onto machines with non-Intel chipsets, according to CNET.

The Windows XP Service Pack 3 had recently been made available after an earlier discovery of an incompatibility with Microsoft Dynamic Retail Management System.

Man, I’m glad I use a Mac! :-)
