The “face” of change :-)
All of the recent excitement concerning the Facebook change (and reversal of the change) in the Terms of Service document resulted in Mark Zuckerberg announcing today that there would be a “Rights and Responsibilities” document and a new, community-driven process, including a user council, for governing changes in rules and framework. This CNET link contains the full Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, which can also be accessed here by Facebook members.
Importantly, the Statement of Rights and Responsibilities clearly states that Facebook does not claim ownership of user content (using Facebook DOES grant the company nonexclusive rights to do what it wants with the content). That agreement can be ended by deleting content or leaving Facebook.
Enjoy the lengthy and thorough CNET article!
