Déjà vu all over again
With apologies to Yogi Berra:
Microsoft has postponed the public availability of Windows 7 beta, according to CNET, after problems with keeping its Web site up today.
In a blog posting, which CNET found difficult to access this afternoon, Microsoft said that they would be “adding some additional infrastructure support to the Microsoft.com properties before we post the public beta.”
Solaris boxes…? On the backend…? Hey, it could work! 😉
Or Linux or some other kind of UNIX….
Meanwhile, whatever happened to Vista?
(Note added January 26, 2009: Microsoft has extended [through February 10] the time when the Windows 7 beta will be available. It looks, from THIS CNET article that I am not the only one thinking about déjà vu all over again.)
